The meeting will be in Day Hall, on the courtyard level, past the main entrance and front desk. Patrick McMillan is an energetic and entertaining speaker with a compelling message, and the Georgia Native Plant Society would love to share this opportunity with you and your organization. HELEN, GA: Save Georgia’s Hemlocks will hold its Annual Meeting and Membership Picnic on Sunday, July 10 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Fishcamp Pavilion of Smithgall Woods. The entrance is via Joe Franklin Rd. off Hwy 75 near Helen, not the main entrance off Alt Hwy 75. Among other things, we'll be holding Board elections and sharing some updated information about the hemlocks vs. the adelgids. PLEASE COME and bring a friend, chairs, and your favorite pot luck dish to share. We'll provide hot dogs, hamburgers, a vegetarian option, and drinks. There's a $5 parking fee at Smithgall, so feel free to carpool if you like.
