ROCKDALE: Master Gardener Advanced Gold Level Urban Tree Training. Presented by Rockdale County Cooperative Extension. Mondays, April 18-May 16, 2011. Open only to active certified Master Gardeners. This training will consist of five one-half day training sessions. 100% attendance of the training sessions is required. Additional outside work will also be required to complete the gold level training. $60.00 covers all books, nametag, materials, field trips, luncheon and breaks. Sheryl Wells, Frank Henning, and Bodie Pennisi from UGA Cooperative Extension Service, and students from CAES Environmental Resource Science, are offering a rainwater harvesting workshop that will teach you how the different systems work and also allow you to participate in a HANDS ON workshop to truly show you how it is done. We will demonstrate how to build your own rainwater harvesting system from materials available at your local hardware store! Learn about: Cistern sizing, siting, installation, maintenance.
