The 24th annual Southeastern Flower Show at the Cobb Galleria Centre, In Tune with Blooms, celebrates music in the garden. Experience professionally-designed Landscaped Gardens, Artistic Floral Design and Horticulture Divisions, Discovery, Photography and Bonsai Exhibitions within the Show, and garden shopping in the Marketplace, Bookstore and Raffle. Celebrity speakers, Vignettes by foremost southeastern Event Designers, informal demos, live musical performances and children's workshops are presented daily. ATHENS: Athens Area Master Naturalist Program 2011. The Athens Area Master Naturalist program will be held in April and May on Fridays from 9-4pm in Athens. The classes cover many environmental topics including native plants, birding, human impact, urban forestry, mammals and wildlife, local agriculture, entomology, herpetology, water issues and stream monitoring. The majority of the classes will be held in Athens at Flinchum’s Phoenix but some will be in the Athens area in topic specific locations. The cost of the program is $185 and includes name badge, polo shirt, weekly refreshments, reference materials, certificate and a graduation lunch. The first class is April 2nd and registration is due no later than March 15th. Class size is limited to 25 participants and registration is on a first come, first served basis.
